Kathy Campbell

President and CEO

Kathy Campbell founded AMPM and has been its President and CEO since its inception in 1997. Through her leadership, AMPM has grown from a sole proprietorship to a corporation with with more than 45 highly qualified team members, serving physician groups nationally.

Kathy has shaped a company culture committed to innovation, expertise and a customer service standard that is unmatched in the industry. She has built a business model that is driven by utilizing technology to streamline processes, reduce costs and expedite reimbursement for our clients. In order to deliver the best customer service in the industry, AMPM operates from a unique organizational model that utilizes Account Management specialists, providing practice expertise by specialty.

For the last 15 years, Kathy has focused on helping physicians find profitability in their practices, guiding physicians through the entire business process of practice management so they can focus on medicine. With a foundation as college basketball athlete and a coach, she knows how to lead and train a winning team.

Kathy holds a BS and a MS in Education from Texas State University and is a Certified Healthcare Billing & Management Executive (CHBME) through the Healthcare Billing & Management Association (HBMA).

She is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying camping, hiking, biking and fly fishing.


Dottie Dawson

Chief Financial Officer

Dottie Dawson joined AMPM in 2003 as the Chief Financial Officer of the company.

Prior to AMPM, Dottie was the Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Catherines Stores Corporation. With more than 30 years of corporate financial management experience, Dottie understands the impact that financial knowledge can have on a practice and has helped AMPM develop an offering of financial analysis, reporting and practice management consulting that is unparalleled in the industry.

Dottie is a sports enthusiast, news junkie and avid Kindle reader who loves to travel. Her most recent travels have taken her to Greece and Turkey. She chairs the Operations Council and serves as an elder in her Austin congregation.


Kim Campbell

Director of Human Resources

Kim Campbell joined AMPM in 2005 as the Director of Human Resources. In this role, she handles all HR functions including recruiting, policies and procedures, staff training and internal communications. Kim has been key to AMPM's rapid growth, as recruiting and developing the team is crucial to maintaining an unprecedented customer service standard.

With 20 years of management experience in for-profit and non-profit institutions, Kim understands organizational development and the changes that companies undergo through their lifespan. She uses her expertise as a certified life and career coach to help individuals find a good fit within the organization, which has been essential in shaping the AMPM workplace culture.

Kim holds a BS in English and Secondary Education from Texas State University, a Masters of Divinity from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University and a MS in Counseling from The University of Memphis. Kim serves as the board president in her Austin congregation and as secretary of her neighborhood HOA board of directors.

Brenda Young

Coding Consultant

Brenda Young is AMPM's coding expert. In this role, she is responsible for coding difficult cases, training account managers and physician clients in the latest coding updates, and conducting coding compliance audits.

With more than 20 years of experience in health information management, Brenda brings an expertise that reflects directly on the bottom line of AMPM clients. Prior to joining AMPM in July 2006, Brenda served as a consultant for physician office coding, reimbursement and compliance. She is a frequent speaker and trainer around multi-specialty physician coding, documentation and reimbursement.

Brenda is a member of the American Health Information Management Association, the Texas Health Information Management Association and the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is a graduate of Texas Woman's University with a B.S. in Medical Record Administration. Additionally, she is a Registered Health Information Administrator, a Certified Professional Coder and an approved Professional Medical Coding Curriculum instructor.  She currently serves as an instructor for the American Academy of Professional Coders.
